How Virtual Fittings Work
Step 1: Scheduling
Book a 30-minute virtual appointment with HiTech Bracing. This can be on Zoom or FaceTime based on your preference.
Step 2: Preparation:
- Dress in shorts for clear visibility of your knee.
- Set up your device at knee level against a clear wall or backdrop.
- Have on hand: a soft measuring tape (sewing or fabric type), and a pen or marker.
Step 3: Consultation:
- The session begins with a discussion on your medical and injury history.
- HiTech introduces the features of CTi knee braces, offering both custom and non-custom options.
Step 4: Marking & Digital Imaging
- Place five distinct marks on your leg: on the middle of the kneecap, 3” and 6” above the knee, and 3” and 6” below the knee.
- Measure and provide the circumference at each marked point.
- The Clinician at HiTech Bracing will take several anterior (front) and Lateral (side) digital images of your legs.

HiTech Bracing has been measuring and fitting CTi knee braces for over 20 years. We initiated the virtual platform during the 2020 Pandemic. We have braced well over 1000 riders in the last two decades. We will continue to provide our riders with the best fitting product either face to face or virtually. We offer a 1-year fit guarantee. So, if you aren’t happy with the fit, we will remeasure you and have the brace remade. We also stand behind our product and offer a limited lifetime warranty on the frame and hinges.

Through our newly launched virtual knee brace consultation and measuring platform, we can take all the necessary measurements and digital scans remotely via Zoom or Facetime
Our virtual measurement protocol has proven to be highly effective. We guide you through the process step by step, and the results have yielded a 100% success rate in terms of fit and function for all virtual clients to date.
During the consultation, our clinicians discuss your medical history, specifically any knee injuries you may have had. They then guide you through the steps to accurately measure and mark your knee and surrounding areas. We capture images of your leg for reference. Post consultation, the knee braces are custom-made based on these measurements/digital scan and shipped directly to you.
CTI knee braces are considered a “Medical Device” and therefore considered as an eligible expense under most Extended Health Plans (such as Canada Life, Sunlife, Greenshield, etc).
Most Extended Health Plans do require knee braces to be prescribed. Please print off the “Brace Form” and/or “Greenshield Form” and bring it to your Medical Professional to sign. Please note, some Extended Health Plans will allow a Physiotherapist, Chiropractor or Medical Doctor to sign the form (check with your plan). HiTech Bracing does encourage you to do a pre-authorization into your EHP. We will gladly provide you with an estimate for the braces.
The delivery time is typically 2-3 weeks.

Custom CTI Knee Braces come with a lifetime warranty on the frame and hinge. Non-custom CTI braces have a one-year warranty.
Custom CTI Knee Braces are $1850 each (no GST because they are custom made). Non-Custom CTi braces are $1150 (plus GST). No charge for shipping.
